Special Events are a great way to socially interact with friends and family of LTC, reach out to the community, raise awareness and raise funds for Lincoln Training Center. Special events are conducted by staff and volunteers, or through joint association with an outside organization or sponsor.

LTC has a history of hosting successful special events. Every year LTC hosts a variety of events and programs to raise funds and public awareness.

"Affair of the Heart" Auction and Awards Dinner

Established in 1983, this annual event honors the achievements of individuals with disabilities and those who support their efforts. Past co-hosts and honorary chair persons have been: TV personalities Dr. George Fischbeck and Chris Burke, Channel 2 Newscaster Ann Martin, Olympic Medalists Cathy Rigby, Bruce Jenner, Inger Miller, Kimberly Rhode, Janet Dykman and other well known individuals.

Business Community Day

LTC's Business Community Day is an opportunity to introduce business leaders and professionals to the center's work. The event begins with tours at 11:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon program from 12:00 - 1:00. Additional tours are offered at 1:00 p.m. This annual event is held in October.
